fly line help......

so, i got my 9ft 6wt rod combo, preloaded with line....

backing, floating weight forward fly line, and a "knotless tapered leader"

i went to the store to purchase an additional leader and some tippet.......realizing i have no idea wtf i am doing........

no idea what the current stock leader size is..........

i purchased climax trout freshwater leader in 9ft 5x which the back rates it for 4.7lbs and climax freshwater tippet in 5x 30m. rated for 5.2lbs

am i even fricken close?

also, the leaders at the store mentioned nothing about being tapered, important?

also, how long is my leader suppose to be, the came in like 7foot and 9foot, the tippet comes on a spool, and by essence of what it is, increase leader life and length, so i imagine i cut it to size when setting up.......

can anyone give me some examples of lengths for these items for multiple conditions, also suggested lbs.....

i am mostly targeting trout/pan/bass, hense the mid-weight, 9 foot rod

suggestions for lengths on streams, lakeshore and river shore, would be excellent.....

thanks guys!
