help a newbie chose a fly rod?

hey fella's,
im still pretty new to the forum and this only my first season fishing NH coast for stripers since i moved here to go to college. with all this access to the salt ponds n marshes id really like to try n angle for the fish tucked in there with a fly rod...course for this, i need a fly rod lol.
ive been looking at the st.croix triumph series in 9 or 10wt, i dont want to spend anymore than 300 buck for my first salt water fly rod as im still new to this. id like to be able to have it perform well in the marsh and in some light surf fishing. as far as reels and line goes im also totally lost, so any advice would be much appreciated, thanks fella's.

p.s- anyone wana go fishing lol?

-cory

Since I have been suffering from cabin fever already a buddy of mine and I went up to Cabela's last sat. I have been interested in taking up fly fishing for trout before the striped ones show up in spring. So I stoped by the fly shop and walked out with a St Croix triumph 5wt 8'6'' / Cabela prestege outfit for $110. I am pretty happy with the purchase, seems like a nice little starter set up.

I also stuck around for a casting seminar with a guy named Jared, he knew his stuff and was very helpful.

Good luck and tight lines..
