wow

talk about a latent response.... well the reel i was buying is far from piece of crap (it a bauer.) but i never thought about retrieving because my islanders are totally reversable.... i tend to cast righty, strip lefty then crank lefty. but i have found on long fights i would rather crank righty. i use a spinning rod lefty... write righty, kick a soccer ball lefty, toss a base ball righty....... i am really just all over the damn board...... thus my confusion..... my brain is probably crossed up

I'm a predominantly left-handed. Luckily I started out correctly in casting with my dominant arm and reeling with my right-hand. It is funny watching people who do the cast then reel with the same hand. It's time consuming switching the hands around and hope you don't get a good hit while you're sorting everything out...

First post for me. I like the site.

BTW...Larry's Tackle on the Vineyard has his predictions for the arrival of the fish for this year posted on his site. The guy has been uncanny with his predictions in the past.

Bass will be back April 15th Changing to the 11th because of the warmer water.

Bluefish May 7th/

Bonito July 10th/

Albie's July 25th/

Fluke may 14th

LMAO. I hear ya man. This stuff is a crazy subject. I've been involved in some huuuuge threads over the years pertaining to this very thing. Can get even weirder when fly fishing, as you said. Imagine fly fishing, whippin over your right shoulder, switching the rod to your left hand, oh forget...I cant even think about it!

Mag, glad to have you. I am glad you like forum. Feel free to contact us anytime if need be

Welcome to the Forum, Mag. Sometimes when I'm fishing, I'll think about people doing that, then get confused, and forget which way I usually do it.
