NEW FEATURE: "Points & Weekly Awards" MOD

Ok guys, I was working on another way to measure and reward user participation here on the forum. I am trying very to make this the best and most feature rich local forum. I believe we should give back to those loyal members who help to increase traffic, offer content for others, etc.

I installed a new Points MOD, and it also has a Weekly Awards thing built into it. You will see new links for "Xperience" and "Weekly Awards" inside the QLINKS at the top of the forum, and also at the bottom of the forum. I will add the links to these 2 pages to the left side of the portal page in the Navigation bar, I will do that sometime today.

I may change/edit a few things, like names of the Awards etc.

This MOD will help us determine winners for future contests, as it has a percentage measurement for participation, plus the following ways to gain points...

Calculation of the score
Taken into calculation are these things:
Threads
- Created threads
- Thread views of own threads
- Thread replies of own threads
- Thread votes of own threads
- Thread tags (vBulletin 3.7)
- Replies to own threads
- Sticky threads

Posts
- Created posts
- Views on attachments

User
- Days since registration
- Referrals
- Received infractions
- Reputation
- Visitor messages on profiles (vBulletin 3.7)
- Members of own social groups (vBulletin 3.7)
- Friends (vBulletin 3.7)

Misc
Additionally there is support for 3rd pary addons like "Post Thank You", "PhotoPost Gallery" and "Cyb Paypal Donate".


NOTE: Since the April Contest had already started, I will continue to use the Credits mod and monthly user statistics to judge this months contest.

In the future, the Points / Weekly Awards MOD will be used to determine contest winners.

The Credits MOD will then be switched over to a type of forum currency, where in the future, you may be able to use your Credits to buy plugs etc. from the MM Store I am working on again. Hopefully the Store will return. EXAMPLE: You would be able to pay cash for the custom plug in the store, or, use Credits you have accumulated and earned by participation on the forum

I believe there was a question from someone in the past about losing points that may not have been addressed. You lose points due to inactivity. If you never log in, post & participate, you lose points. On the flip side, you can gain points just by simply logging in everyday. More points are gained by posting, tagging, replying, sending PM's, uploading pics, etc etc. These points will be used again to determine winners of certain future contests.

Welcome Hop right in. One small favor though........could you use a different color. Hard to read aginst a blue backround. Although if you use blue you can swear at other members and they wont know.
