You put those 2 in the ring and let them fight with all there skills its a no brainer that Roy wouldnt even come close to standing a chance. It would be silva completely dominating him in round 1. A boxing match like you were mentioning who knows. I do know you would have to be crazy to count Anderson Silva out. His hands are almost as nasty as his mui thai with the pin point accuracy he throws out there. It has already been proven time and time again that a boxer cant stand up to the punishment of a well rounded MMA fighter, and Anderson Silva IS one of the most dominant. The 2 sports are so different that you cant even compare the two and it wouldnt be fair to the boxer to put him against an MMA fighter without a lot more training.

Of course Roy would lose to an MMA fighter in an MMA fight. But folks are saying that Anderson Silva is "so good", and such a good striker, that he could beat Roy Jones Jr. in a boxing ring. This is nothing more silly in my eyes.
Silva would get Peppersauced and utterly embarrassed in a boxing ring. I don't understand why people need to come up with this foolishness. They both belong in their respective ring / cage. Beat Roy in a boxing match? I cant laugh hard enough. But I would pay to see it!  |
