even the cheapest reels should allow you to swap handle sides. flick the anti reverse switch so it only reels in one direction.

hell man its just funny, you can keep fishing like a googan if you want. just that the next time we fish together we will need to maintain adequate space between the two of us so any passers by dont know that we are fishing together

on the serious side of things tho rod tip action can dictate your success working certain types of plugs. pencils and spooks for instance dance seductively in part to rod tip action. using a spinning rod upside down can really limit the action of plugs. same thing with trolling bunka spoons.

I agree, I think I mentioned that a few days ago that my pickeral catching seemed to be directly related to the action by turning the rod down, the action flows better, so all joking aside I understand what your saying, and was going that way anyway, but I seem to be speaking randynees (it happens sometimes) and I can't convey what I am trying to tell you w/out pictures....not important enought to bother but I do have to reel the other direction with my same hand.

i did some editing for merrill to fix the home page my changes are in red

Let the games begin! MM Forum Member "Oddfish" scores a nice early season Striped Bass, and a legal one too! While fishing googan style with his rod upside down. A 30 incher caught chasing alewives. Way to go! It's on, get out there and enjoy!
