Ball python info
Anyone ever have a snake? I am thinking about getting a Ball Python. I can adopt it from some chic. All I gotta do is spend 50 bux for all the equipment she has, and the snake is "free". I just cant believe how long the sons-a-bitches live....20-40 years lol.
I just dont want to get it just because its cheap. If any anyone has any experience keeping snakes, I would like to hear some stories, info etc. |

i had a ball python for about 10 years... great snakes and easy to keep.... she died when someone took care of while i was away for a month... i think she got a bacterial infection or something because they are very hardy buggers.

Just please don't release it in the wild if you tire of it. That has happened so much down here that all the loose Pythons have become a serious ecological threat - especially in So. Florida/Everglades area. Unfortunately, there are so many of them in GA, AL,FL,MS,LA that they now breed in the wild and are pushing some native species to the brink.

I would never do anything like that, rest assured
 I actually finally got a python on Sat. The other deal fell through, so I got one from a guy in Boxford, MA. It is a male, and he is a pretty good size. Around 4 years old. My girlfriend has my goddamn digicam, so no pics till I get it back. But it's a great looking, healthy snake. Hopefully soon he won't be so shy once he is acclimated to his new home. Today I can see him though, I noticed he has his head in front of the door of his "fort". |
