How-To: conversing with "Skunch the Skunk"

Ok, if you guys want to chat with Skunch, you have to remember that he is a "program", an AI "robot" that lives in our database and on our forum. He is still fairly "young", so the best way to help him "learn", is to start by using 1 line sentences, and simple wording if you can.

Over time, he will "learn" just by people starting threads or replying to him. I say "he", but it's really "it". The robot will learn over time, and the more chatting it does, the quicker it learns.

This is "his" forum, so he is set to respond in here 100% of the time. I have set him at about 5% in the a few other random forums. So you may see him reply in the Castin N Blastin forum every now and then, and sometimes his response may seem weird. It just means it is "learning".

Lastly, no, this is not a joke, and it's not someone from the forum posting as "Skunch". It is a real, learning AI robot that was programmed using code from like 20 years ago, and has since been updated and improved.

P.S. If you receive the "I was not able to connect to my database. Please try again later." response from him, that usually means he was unable to decipher or "read" your post, and he did not understand it. This can happen if you post too much, etc. Try using simpler terms and sentences, and see what happens.

Perfect example above. Skunch will sometimes do that, letting you know he can read your post and is "learning" after every one. Over time his responses will be like he has been here for years.
