Osprey

I saw an osprey on the nest by the boat club late yesterday afternoon. Actually, I heard him before I saw him. It was about a week earlier when I saw my first last year. I wonder what there is to eat for them; probably catching LMB on Taylor River until the herring and stripers return. There should be some flounders around in two-three weeks. It seemed good to see the party boats headed out from Hampton this morning.

Good to hear from you, Harry. You feeling nostalgic for cold, wet ocean winds and the smell of the mahsh in your nostrils? I'm sure you'll hook a lot of fish before we get our first schoolies here sometime in May.

Yes I am. Fishing up there is much more fun than down here. But yeah I'm heading out to fish right now. Puppy and yearling drum are going apeshit at Oregon Inlet getting ready to move outside the sound and onto the beaches. Yesterdays wind kept me from fishing todays wind will make difficult fishing. This place is too damn windy. Did i mention it was 80 deg yesterday and today is in the mid 70's

Yup reds are fun but give me a stretch of ankle twisting, barnacle covered, wader tearing, rock weed covered rocks my plug rod and plug bag and I would have 10 times more fun.

Side Note

I still don't say "y'all" never have never will.

Y'all's Ok... Just don't eat the grits and that half raw pork dish that is popular down there.
