Surf Casting off Hampton

Im heading out Aug1 and Aug2 for some surf casting.
Im usually going out of plum island or under hampton harbor bridge.
Im wondering what the fish are hitting on lately and any advice anyone can bear to part with.

No secret weapons. Fish are in strong for this time of season, so I hear.

Fish big, throw big macks...like half or whole. Costs more, but the rewards can be much greater.

One of the largest striped bass I ever fought and landed was tricked using a year-old mackerel that I got from Pete. It had been sitting in my freezer since the summer previous.

Dont listen to the "conventional" folks. Anything can happen...

I've struck out the last 4 times I've gone the past few weeks Beginning to think the warm water has chased them off into the deep.
