Funny ~ why catch and release = important

soooo,

that lmb i caught on friday, caught him again, i know becuase in his mouth next to my hook was another hook indentical to the one i was using, size, coating, shape, cheapness.....

picture below of hook after i removed the one attached to my line...

funny as hell, poor stupid lmb

this is fairly common while fishing around bridges and dams in fresh water. its always good to throw em back.

i lost my grandfathers first generation crawdad crank when i was 12 on a 7 ln lmb he was pissed until he caught the bastard half an hour later and got his lure back

I've caught stripers with several hooks in their mouths or gullets.... I've caught them with plugs stuck in their backs, others even dragging weights and lines.... I suspect some of these fish were "sportmans" releases... other were more than likely "fish of a lifetime" ..

i think i posted my striper story about the one last year that i caught that ripped the dudes rod out of a sand spike a few hundred yards south of me last year.

caught the fish, about 40-45 lbs found the line but the rod broke off when we were reeling it in
