On the board!

Yee-haw. Headed out with me nephew RacinJason bout 6:30 I think. It was slow going around the sandbar. He said he had one before I got there, then it died. I worked it anyway, battled the wind with a Roc Bunkah Spook. I moved upriver to a bend, within 10 minutes I hooked up between the bank and a grassy hump. We moved around the bend a bit, and I hooked up with another doink soon thereafter. Both on the Roc Spook. Both fish we horned up, and smacked it several times before gittin her. I knew theyd be up near that grassy little island and that rip around the corner. Lil bastids! They were very active, and hit multiple times, wish fish were in that "Self Defense" reaction-strike mode ALL the time. It died of after that, but they were stacked up on that bend for awhile, wish I had walked in on them up there sooner....

First fish...I was blushin'

Merrill,

ABFT, Just kiddin they are definetally in.......I'm thinkin of givin the morning to them tomorrow. Haven't checked the wind yet though.

I hooked up with a pretty good one around noon......right where I thought one might hang out and watch food float into it over a bank....Worked like a charm, but had out about 60 yds of line to get there and the girl got outta the water and shook loose, got one more agressive strike and the current changed and it was over.
