Pogies in Durham

Was at Adam's Point last night( Saturday )to sit and see what was up. Not much wind and basically calm'ish water. saw at least 10 different "pods" of Pogies circling in the cove. Big dark spots that moved around and occassionally a head would poke out. Only saw 2 big splashes, 1 that scattered a pod, but the Pogies are up in now. Things had been dead up that end of the bay all summer due to all the fresh water( rain ). Maybe some Blue's and Striper's will finally come up.

God help us all and the queen too

God help us all and the Queen too, maybe, just maybe we can get some good fishing up there for the rest of the season.

Thanks for the update. The bay might be the place to go next weekend to avoid the psychotic Labor Day boat "one last time" freaks.

Keep me posted, Our oldest is starting Kiddiegarden the following tuesday so I might be limted in my travels but I want (need ) to get mor stripes and blues.

I am in early Goose season scouting mode now so I will be down to the Bay frequently. I will also start hunting( geese )the Bay during September. I will be out there as often as possible work permitting. Will keep updated as best I can.

pogies have been up in maine for some time now, i was hoping they might show up in NH soon and bring the stripers in toe. those god damn boats from scandanavia or god knows where suck em up so quick it leaves the fish with no forage, i always like to see the pogies around here.
