Pemi, Woodstock area today 7-13

Fished on the Pemi this morning, there are plenty of cookie cutter bows (10-12”) left after the 4th weekend!! Fished around Woodstock and North Woodstock, water temp was about 66. Found a deep hole just below the fire station and it was full of hungry bows….There must be lots of food in the water most of these guys were fat!!! I was casting into the pool and getting them on dries (Madam X,Parachute just as an indicator but they kept eating it) and (BH prince) nymphs. (I stopped counting when I ran out of fingers and toes!!!!) I felt sort of bad for the worm dunker that was only catching a few from the same pool… He was putting them in his cooler so I didn’t feel too bad but I guess that’s what F&G had in mind…
I was great to feel the tug on the end of the line after getting the S**T kicked out of me 3 times in the salt this past week….
Wife is still out of town so some more fishing later in the week!!!
