Taug in Great Bay

there are Taug in Great bay?? i never had any idea.. does anyone actually target these buggers??? to they migrate??

I think they can be caught in the deep water around the drawbridge in Hampton. I don't know anyone that targets them but that's what I've always heard.

Do you mean Tautog? Blackfish?

Caught in Great Bay Wednesday. My PB all of 5 lbs.

i caught some near bridge pilings,not far from one of my bass spots.caught them on a mackeral jig,clams.the bigger fish feed on crab,lobsters.also caught some huge cunners,about 1.5lb.sthe tautogs were about a couple of lb.s.kept the bigger ones and had a big fishfry,tasty!!!p.s. theres no regulations on tautog in me.

i might be crazy

but did i see something about coalman catching a sea bass somewhere??? first tautog and now a sea bass... although i think i might be crazy because i cant seem to find the post now

I caught the tautog in my lobster trap in Great Bay. Also caught a black sea bass last week in my trap.
The black sea bass are in the Bay now. I only know one guy who use to target them. He would anchor up and fish them with sea worms.
The reports are in my fishing log.
