Murder on The Salisbury Marsh

1st id like to say hello to everyone and its good to be back striper fishing and posting on the site again. set out after dinner tonight to a few of my hot spots on the marsh and from the very start it was out of control. the fish were further up in the marsh than I thought they would be on the incoming tide. I used only a sluggo and a Rapala husky jerk silver minow and caught so many fish i lost count, only 3 fish were keepers and the biggest only being 32 inches, but it was a blast. i fished right till dark and they were still slammin, anyways it was a great way to start the season for me and hope everyone else is killin them also.

Jerk baits are HOT right now too in the Hampton Marsh. chrome under the sun is the ticket right now. I got my ass kicked this afternoon fishing a wood darter, friends of my nephews was throwing a Bomber and jerkin' away. He a 30" biggest. I couldnt put down the darter and spook, cuz every fish I have caught so far this year has been on wood. But I got romped today on the incoming.

I fished the Salisbury marsh both Saturday and Sunday morning it was pretty slow going. Had to work hard for 1/2 dozen fish. Just couldn't find the mother load. Sounds like the haba is fishing well. I think I'll launch the kayak and fish the last of the out going and beginning of the incoming Sat/Sun morning. If you see some fool in the middle of the haba fishing the sand bars, that'll be me.
