Conservation & Regulation Any reports or information about game theft, animal cruelty, etc. should be posted here. Any information you post will be forwarded to the proper authorities. Plate numbers, description of the offender(s), even the description of a car is a start. Help to preserve our fishery, and our privilege of fishing the Hampton Estuary, or any beloved fishing spot in the local area. Local, State, and Federal laws & regs. also posted here.

Area Stores and Public Invited to Seabrook Cains Brook and Ponds Cleanup Meeting


Seabrook, N.H – The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, the Seabrook Conservation Commissioner and New Hampshire Department of Transportation will host an introductory meeting regarding cleanup efforts at the Cains Brook and Ponds at the Seabrook Recreation Center (across Rt. 1 from Walmart) on October 2, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The public and local retail store/business representatives are invited to attend and contribute suggestions and ideas to help reduce litter problems, plan a litter cleanup and improve the appearance of the Route 1 corridor in the vicinity of Cains Brook and Ponds.
The Town of Seabrook Conservation Commission has completed a Cains Brook Watershed Management Plan and is progressing with several projects to monitor, clean up, and improve the Cains Brook Watershed in the proximity of Route 1. Cains Pond is located on the west side of the Route 1, with Cains Mill Pond on the east side, adjacent to Home Depot. The goals of these projects are to restore these ponds to open water and improve water quality to provide greater recreational opportunities, wildlife habitat and scenic views.
For more information or to register for the meeting, contact, Melanie Locke, Seabrook Conservation Commission secretary, 603-474-9771, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
