Bumped into a guy and his ?wife as they were leaving the trestle around 815ish.....said they were there for 6 hours without a bite.......he mentioned 2 other guys were fishing and got skunked too.......probably you guys. As it turned out, it started lightning and pouring so I didn't even get out of the truck.....drove out to the harbor then turned around and drove home. Sucked.

I'll catch you out there next time.

Were they driving a red ford ranger? If so, that's who we talked to.
The area was dead yesterday, very few baitfish, and no signs of our striped friends.

7-3. We fished the shoals for about an hour, macs and bait sized pollock were plentiful, catching 5 at a time on sabiki rigs. Tried drifting the hampton channel for stripers and caught nuttin', outside the mouth, nuttin'. Stopped by the pens for groundfish, several small cod all 14" and less. All we had to show for the 10 hour effort were a whole lot macs on ice for the next trip.
BTW water temp from the mouth all the way to the backside of the shoals was consistent at about 58 deg. Like Roc said, the storms and winds have evened out the water temps, they could be anywhere.
