Hey Coalman

I tried responding to your Bugs, bass, and the bay report. I was not allowed access for some reason. Those pics and stories get my blood pumping something awful. I was on the bay a few weeks ago and could not locate and catch live bait. Tried a few things, didn't have any luck. We did see birds working hard on a rip. They were picking small fish. looked like sand eel size fish. Lots of marks on the fish finder, no takers.

Thank you for your kind words.

Bait is a finicky thing in Great Bay. It is always there, yet rarely shows itself. It is best to always be prepared with a weighted treble and/or a net.

I'm betting sand eels this early. No bait flying out of the water above the slurpees and boils.

We need to take the malfunction up with Admin. He looks like a grumpy old guy. We'll try sugar.

it probably isnt a malfunction... i know that last year i had them shut off peoples ability to post in my log... because it is just a log not a thread... however, people can thank the logs... so i am not sure if this is the case

I suspect I wasn't able to post because it was a log. I'm not to worried about it.

what i meant was i don't understand why people get upset about posting in their logs. i mean if you came to my house and drew all over my real logs i'd prob kill ya but the on line log is missing much information and is open to the public so who cares if smeone posts in it.

It's mostly because it can be taken off-topic, and a log that was to be 2 or 3 pages can turn into a 8-10 page mess. Then when you go back to find a date or conditions during a certain week, you might have to search through 50 off-topic posts.

Anyone is welcome to post in my log. I know from the other sites I post in guys have questions about procedures and techniques.

Or they just want to comment about the subject.

I can either PM them if it is too sensitive (spot burn) or post publicly so we all learn something.

Merrilizer does have a point on dates and tides. And I do use my picture diary to predict fishing spots and best tides.
