The sun does shine after all.

Thank you for all the information, I will use all of it. I am doing my homework and hope to catch something soon. i spent the day at hampton and seabrook, taking in the terrain. Bought a bunch of gear and will try my hand in the next few days. I just love to be on the shore, it makes me feel young somehow. I hope I can send a pic of a fish, any fish, soon. Thank u all for the help.

The fishing will settle into a routein again after this mess goes by. I am suprised the Merrimack was affected this bad (see Craigstripe post). Silversides and young of the year Herring should be showing up soon. Find them and you should find the fish. The birds will be a big help from here on out........If summer gets back to normal.

its good to hear you got out and did some scouting, its the 1st major step in finding the fish. the key is to find some sexy looking structure at low tide and fish it hard when the tide is up. also congrats on the new gear please post what you got. good luck on your 1st outing

Seems Like A Good Place For This Post.

I went down the beach today expecting the worst. On the contrary, it looks quite good.

Out of Portsmouth you could easily fish the mouth and probably make it to little harbor with out any trouble. The wind is more North than NE and it has saved a lot of damage. The water is not too murkey and not much sand piling up.

Further South the people who think they are surfers don't have much to complain about they can sit out there on there boards and talk about the recent videos they have seen that have them really pumped up for this 3' break....if they ever decide to get off there dead asses and padle into it (sorry I like real surfers, but not the duffers)

Rye area is probably workable if you have the gumption and some quick feet.

Hampton on the North side of the beach is well protected. NOTE: The North jetty will go under water at high tide tonite.......Do not be foolish.

Hampton harbor itself had about 4' of vis in the harbor. Up in the Marsh was about the same.

I did not get any farther down the coast, but the waves built as I went south owing to more northern exposure. Should be a pretty good night and tomorrow and it should get better as the week goes on. Go get em'
