Yesterdays hunt

Took my son out in a big cut along side a mile long swamp and he shot a 7pt buck weght was 152lbs 20 yards with TC Triumph 50 cal muzzle loader. I think I was more wound up than him, he is 15 years old.

Congrats! Yesterday was my own personal version of keystone cops......my buddy jumped 2 does and I watched them run into the hardwoods....I ran and set up on a path that I hoped they would cross and sure enough they did.....dropped to a knee and fired what I thought was a good shot despite there being a few leafy branches in front of the chest.....well, they both freeze and stand there for at least 2 minutes while I'm trying to reload.....I then proceed to bend the ramrod in half with the load half way down the barrel.....buddy runs up behind me and I tell him to shoot.....takes him a few seconds to see them as they are so damn close.......raises his gun fires and click....nothing.....deer run away.......says he forgot to cock the hammer.

Question is....who's the bigger douchebag?

At least it wasn't a monster.
