things seem to be slowing down....

well hows the fishing been for everyone? or have the masses moved off the boats and the beach and headed for the couch or the trees???

the chatter has really fallen off the board... my boat is still in but i have heard very little bass chatter that says it is worth my time to get her off the dock... i would like to do a little ground fishing or get back out tuna fishing (which is still going NUTS) but i suddenly find my self busy with work (which hasnt happened in months.)

so i have been doing that but who has the good word to make me get off this computer and head for the boat at 6:30 and do some fishing

The bass traffic has gone silent. If it weren't for you and Oddfish we might have to put the site up for the winter.

Not.

Getting the boat and traps out of the water next week. My mind is seeing white............tails that is.

Please keep the reports coming.

Yes, the site has been dead. I've been busy with the kids, soccer, swim lessons and everything else.

Boys I hear the bass fishing is still good. My buddy Scott was in St. Thomas for a week but went out as soon as he got home and got into some fish yesterday.

I have officially been down here for 6 days and haven't wet a line yet. I am trying to declare residency so I can save money on the two licenses and ORV permits I need. I should be all set by Friday. I think it would be easier to get Navy security clearance but it is so worth it. I will take my girls camera out today and take some shots of the area and people fishing just for pure entertainment.

I need to take some casts tho I am begining to get the shakes.

I check out Eastman's report and they said they are going out 30 miles. A little to far for me.

I fish a 18' center console... 20 Miles is my limit.. even on a good day.... If I had a dollar for everytime a party boat steamed by me on the inside.. bypassing fish... I'd retire right now... this time of year those fish move back inside chasing herring and looking for the bait being flushed out of the river systems.... I've had manny of banner days inside of 5 miles in mid October...

Righty "O" 1/2 day boats go a certain distance, and whole day trips go a certain distance, if they don't the people on board actually get upset that they are too near the shore, but inbetween those zones there are a lot of good unused areas. I know some of the oldtime party boat captains that just LTAO about it. The use of radar and loran actualyy moved a lot of the boats further off shore due to their efficentcy of finding a spot quickly and maintaining full speed in fog out and back.

Just because you can cast along way from the shore, doesn't mean you always want to.
