Pi Blues
Well I haven't fished in a couple of weeks and headed down to the refuge this morning, parking lot 2. I was pleasantly surprised to find hardly any surf and the wind at my back. Picked up 5 blues in 2 hours all on top water. No signs of any bass but I was happy to catch anything. Brought 1 home for supper(not my supper,the wife's,YUK). Think I'll hit lot 1 tomorrow. Gate opens at 5:30

I did go back down Sunday morning. I hooked up 3 times but only landed 1 fish. 24" bass. I actually had several fish slam the popper but my hookup rate wasn't to good. But the fish were there. Starting to get pretty lonely out there.

I'll probably be there at first light. Do you have a pass. Last weekend I just drove in and parked both days and nobody bothered me. I thought I might see a ticket on my window when I got back to the truck. I usually park at Surfland and walk on from there but they closed the access because of all the erosion.

If you're around on Saturday or send me a message I can let you in on another parking spot close to the refuge. I'm just driving on - hoping for the best. Worms on one rod and throwing pencils on the other.
