Any groundfish inshore?

I am going to go out for one last time this weekend if I can get the truck fixed in time. I will do some striper fishing as well as an attempt to do some "inshore" groundfishing.

Are the fish still out there or have they come into range for the googan boats? I am not looking for specifics as always, just a general trend to see if they are within 7-10 miles of shore.

The other question is to do with regulations. Is Mass closed to taking of groundfish as of Oct 1st? Looks like NH is open until Nov 1st. Does Maine have any laws that restrict taking of groundfish? I want to know before I go....

Thanks guys,
Bubba
