It's drop time
Gotta love the Internet. I got up early this morning. Huh, no rain. Check the weather , map in motion, huh, rains in Philadelphia.
Quickly grab my gear and I'm on the lobster grounds at 0700. I noticed lots of bait activity as I motored by Black Bank. At the junction on the Lamprey and Squamscott Rivers in Great Bay you could see the drop was on. Small bait everywhere. I beat the rain. On the way back in again at the river merge I saw small bass or blues in a small pod harassing the drops. You know that slurpie noise you hear as fish take bait right under the surface. A fly fisherman would have had a ball. It's drop time at the river mouths of the Great Bay Estuary. Last edited by Coalman : 09-27-2008 at 03:46 PM. |
