It's odd for bluefish to be alone in my experience. Sometimes working noisey top water plugs will cause a couple to rise from the depths. Did you guys give this a try by anychance?
We are going to need to do a big MM member meet and creep real soon. I can aide in organizing this with permission from the moderators. Maybe some plug hoing, I have some smaller plugs that I would be willing to trade/donate. |

Harry, As for noise making, no I didn't try, I have this small/med sized frog thing I want to try but I have misplaced it at the moment. The thing looks like it will make a hellova mess on the surface. Just hope I don't lose it, I like it for a SMB/LMB lure also. |

Sorry for the blood & guts or lack of heads...
No stripers in the mix...We didn't sniff out a single one yesterday. It was a beaut of a day though... Oh, one puppy for the second species. We we fishing the break between 25-35' basically just off the shelf on the deeper side. Anything silver and shiny was walloped... We were trying for flounder but couldn't find any so we also used the worms on tubes... Freaking malee of blues... My buddies boat was covered with blood and guts. Biggest was just shy of 13lbs... Not much in their stomachs...At least nothing whole anyway.. --cal |
