Freshwater fishing, hunting & trapping

Ok guys and gals, since we are heading into the Fall Run season for striped bass, I just wanted to post another reminder that this isn't just a striped bass site and forum specifically. We are looking to include much more content for members, because I know most of you also hunt and trap etc. This is a local sportsman community, so ANY OF YOU who wish to include content on this site may do so at ANY TIME.

If you have freshwater fishing, hunting or trapping pics, stories, reports, tutorials, how-to's, essays etc etc, and you would like to see them on the site, please feel free to forward the content to me anytime. We would love to include stuff from members on the front page of the site etc. You will ofcourse be given full credit for your material. This is intended to be a "member community", so please don't hesitate to offer up content!

With hunting season fast approaching, we will be looking for hunting and trapping related content for the site.

Jon,
I have my fur bearer trapping license in my pocket for 2008-2009. I just applied for a bunch of local WMA's managed by NH F&G.. Plan on pursuing under ice beaver. Might have to have a fisher set or two out for December.

But for now salt is still running through my veins.

I'll be waterfowling like crazy as soon as it cools down a bit.....got out for goose the other morning but all I did was sweat and swat mosquitoes.......I just don't know how those Florida boys do it.....I know they swear by the Thermacell and one guy told me he brings a second set of clothes....when he gets to his stand he changes out of the soaking wet stuff........give me 10 degrees everyday and I'd be happy.

Struck out for the 3rd year on the moose lottery, but I have my big game tag for Montana....heading out for the rut in November.

, boys......hot barrels to y'all!

And coalman....I signed up for the trapper ed course this year but couldn't make it unfortunately......I'll be waiting anxiously for your excellent reports.

Coalman, not that Beavers aren't plentiful everywhere, but think the Salmon Falls in the Sommersworth Rochester Stretch. Them dam things are like mice in there.

I bet you could support a small mitten factory from that stretch alone.

Mittens and ear muffs.

I trapped a stretch of the Exeter River years ago and it was the same way.

Let me know when the river freezes solid this winter. Maybe we can try to catch one for the tannery.

a sign of things to come?

this morning I looked out my window to see a house cat crouched down and doing the stalking thing

what was he after?

a flock of 17 turkeys
half adults and half this years young

good thing he didn't catch one

was funny watching 200 pounds plus of birds walking fast away from a 5 pound pussy

My house cat used to chase pintos and mustangs.

Not a battle a cat usualy wins.

The turkey sure is a fish and game success story, and it just keeps getting better.
