offshore Saturday

Thinking of heading offshore saturday for a chummin party. Spent about 5 hours
making a chum desert for any fish in sea. Hopefully a biggun cause
my buddy needs a fix and I've heard him over and over again.

We made some sharksicles... Anyone ever heard anyone make them. We
rigged about 30 gallons of chum with rebar and its all freezing in a freezer
for the trip. We're hoping to get something with the effort put in.

The chum is some serious fish paste...like stuffing consistency... Mixed with
a bunch of bait pieces... Still got about another 50 lbs of bait for the bait
table. We were also planning on jigging some livies and seeing if we could also
find a few boo fish.

Anyone seen any good shark locations out there.. I heard the fingers and
the prong...Prong being closer... The cove would be my desired location.
Would like to be out there pre-dawn...

Any thoughts on this hair brained idea...

the dawg house Huh, any association Big Bob???

ya i have heard of people making sharkcicles they should work welll... as far as sharks go i would try the cove.... my father was at scanum last week and bagged two huge blue dogs while chumming for tuna.... warmer water is typically better so the cove would be good.

cool thanks CW, was hoping you were going to respond. No relation to big bob
Just the perfect name for the boat considering I live in the dog house at home all the time.

Our plan is to striper fish Friday night then get some shuteye for a
few hours. Wake and head out in the early am. Hopefully the
weather is good to us.

No gauruntees but we got a lot of slop to throw overboard. Some serious chum... My buddy drove it to the freezer last night and spilt a little in the
truck. He was at Homedepot this morning and when he came out there
were about 20-30 seagulls all over his truck... Must have smelt it or something.

Always a story for sure. And hopefully this trip will be too,

Last year we went out with a bunch of chum and we were chopping it
for hours... Went to kittens later and one of the chicks started sucking
my buddies fingers... Talk about fish stank... We all lost it right there,,,,
