Awesome double hookup.
Myself and Tundradog were drifting live macs yesterday and had doubled up with a 38" and 33". The 38" was biggest fish and was an awesome fight. If I figure out how to do pics, I will post them.

Thanks. We can't believe how many macks are still around. Still very easy to get loaded with bait. We went out again yesterday. Again, lot's of fish, only 1 of keeper length, though.

Awesome!
I would have to say we have had a couple good trips this year and last week was no exception. Allthough I hate fishing on the weekends (umm
), Sunday was not really that crowded. Let it rain I say, keeps the crowds down. I am happy that Slider finally got that elusive 36+ incher he has been itching to catch. I think he was getting tired of hearing all my tails of the big fish. I actually thought he caught the bottom again .The macs are still on the loose and Slider and I got to witness several very large schools of bunker hitting the surfice hard early Sunday morning. Picked up only a couple on the Sabiki rigs and I was thinking how we need a casting net big time!!! Hopefully we will keep the pictures coming!! Tundradog |

Tundradog, go with snag hooks if you can see the pogies. Old school is sometimes still the best, and sometimes you can pick up a bait AND a striper on the same cast!
I stock 7/0 snags in the shop here. You don't need to mess with the netting permit from F&G, either. |

you got that right Pete, most times the bait has blown through or is too deep to cast net.. snag hoks are quick and efficient... |
