Encouraging word

John Beckman finally caught a nice fat 36" in the harbor this AM, floating live mackerel. He caught 15-20 others, not as big.

Sooner or later one will blunder my way.

Hey Pete that's great, thanks for the report

BTW: the other night: one, off the rocks at the "goats nose" on your clams, almost a keepah, so it went back.
nothing on that shiny lure but I'll keep trying it.

I fished the marsh down close to the harbor on Saturday morning from about 3:00 am to 7:00 am and got skunked. I chunked 1 rod and plugged and jigged the other rod. I moved down to a spot that has consistently held schoolies at that stage of the tide for years and it was totally dead. I ran into another guy in a kayak and he did much better than I did, he caught 1 small fish. What the F is going on. I spent a good part of the weekend doing some lazy fishing from the back of the bosses boat in the mac right next to the coast guard station. We caught a bunch of small stuff and 1 at 25". I was happy to have anything tug on the other end of the line.

Don't Know???? Jonny and I were fishing the Marsh pretty hard for a while, but its a friggen dead zone. I haven't given up on it, but its pretty frustrating.
