NH F&G Striped Bass Angler Survey

Guys,
I'm not sure you are aware, but NH F&G is doing a study of striped bass caught in NH. Kevin Sullivan at NH F&G sent me an Excel spreadsheet. They are looking for basic information,
Date
# of stripers caught
size
released/ caught.

If anybody wants a copy I can email it over to you guys, or maybe we can get it uploaded here if there is enough interest.

Yeah, I've done that quite a few times. Didn't do it last year, I found out about it through the NH chapter of the CCA. I think they raffle off a framed striped bass picture every year for everyone that does the study.

Funny, i was just talking about this survey yesterday..... I used to do years ago and hadnt heard about it lately.... it was always a good time to see the results at the end of the year... i wish i had it at the begining of the season.

Are we all aware of what our states are doing with this? It appears in 2011 you have to pay for a license to fish in that state. That means you will have to buy not only NHs salt license, but out of state licenses in every state you plan to fish? CT is $60 for an out of state license. To clarify, I am a resident of NH, and if I want to fish MA and CT in 2011, I will have to pay for a resident NH license, and an out of state license for MA & CT. This is ridiculous, we need to start standing up for our rights!

You will need to buy a 2011 NH license, but it is good in Mass and Maine.

Yes, but to fish salt in another state like CT or RI or NY you will need to purchase another license to fish in "their" ocean.

A few years back, I ran into a person on shore coming back from fishing the Merrimac River and they were surveying how many fish were caught , the kind , how long you fished that day, and how many and what kind did you released. Did it for about 3 years in a row. That was at the Salisbury State Park in MA. Didn't have any problems letting them know.
