Thanks harry ..I cringed too...I agree Spot burning is a dangerous thing, and although no harm was meant when it was mentioned, in my opinion it was too specific...maybe in the future, Someone could just mention pogies in the bay rather then the precise spot...

Btw The lab itself is closed to fishing..

Also , to boaters who can fish the entire bay, keep in mind that shore fisherman have many fewer spots to chose from, so spot burning is a much more sensitive issue...The entire great bay has very few spots that can be reached from the shore especialy at mid tide or below, because of the long sloaping muddy shoreline and the amount of private property along its shores.
